The part of my job that I enjoy most is working with our customers. My role involves tasks such as setting up payment plans, processing payments, answering questions about bills, and explaining to customers how it all works. Often the tasks I carry out can be similar, and can even feel repetitive, but helping different customers means I have many different experiences and this keeps me challenged. Since beginning this role I feel I have become more patient and customer service focussed, I have also improved my listening skills and ability to emphasize with people. I have learnt to adjust to diverse attitudes and needs; these are always changing.The most challenging part of my role is when I receive a call from a dissatisfied customer. While these sort of calls can be stressful, they can also be highly rewarding - when you manage to turn a customers opinion around and can satisfy their needs in a short space of time, as well as delivering a great service, you feel like you've accomplished something at the end of the day. Another thing that sets this work environment apart from other call centres is the rewards and recognition program. I really like the way that the company celebrates performance through programs such as we@accenture and recognition for Employee of the Month. I appreciated the fact that my benefits started on day one and that overtime work is often an option. Its always nice to pick up some additional shifts to earn money for the extra things in life!
